　私は今までモノトーンで描く光の表現を通じて生命のあり方を問う作品を描いてきました。

　今回モチーフとしてエミール・ガレ、ドーム兄弟の作品と出会い、ガラスの表面に映し出される肉眼では見落としてしまう光の写り込みやガラスの内から透過して来る光に着目しました。また、丸いフォルムに光が回り込む様子からインスピレーションを受け、朝日が昇る光の画面を作り出す試みを行いました。

　先人の作品から得た新たな展望を光と影の表現により描き出す事で彼らが生きた時代の光と今を照らし出す光、双方に触れる事が出来た様に感じています。

I created work which asked the way of life through expression of light to describe in monotone so far.

We paid our attention to light that came out, and penetrated from inside glass which included of light that we overlooked by the naked eye projected as motif this time by Emile Galle, work of dome brothers and encounter, the surface of glass. In addition, we received inspiration from state that light rounded in round form and performed attempt to create screens of light that the morning sun rose.

By depicting a new view gained from the work of predecessors through the expression of light and shadow, I feel as if I have been able to touch both the light of the era in which they lived and the light that illuminates the present.
